Advantages and disadvantages of plywood for furniture

Plywood is a three-layer or multi-layer board material made of wood segments that are cut into veneers or sliced into veneers, and then glued together with adhesives, usually with odd layers of veneers, and adjacent layers of veneers The fiber directions are glued perpendicular to each other.

Advantage: 

1. Light weight, clear lines, insulation, high strength, and not easy to deform.

 2. The construction is convenient, not warped, and the horizontal grain has good tensile mechanical properties.

Disvantages:

1. The general cost is high.

 2. The surface of the plywood is not as smooth as the density board. When the plywood is used as the base layer, and the fireproof board, aluminum-plastic board and other decorative panels are bonded on the surface, it is not as firm as the medium density board as the base layer.
